UFX Articles

UFX members have the ability to prepare and publish articles on the UFX website.

Articles are short form explorations of urban issues in Adelaide and South Australia. Articles will align to one or a combination of the following themes:

  • Sustainable / healthy / equitable / smart cities, urban areas and environments;

  • Sustainable / healthy / equitable natural environments;

  • Sustainable / healthy / smart movement and transport;

  • Sustainable / healthy / equitable / affordable living;

  • Creative / cultural industries, economies and cities;

  • Future industries and new economy;

The article can be based on a foundation piece of work, this being an essay, research or aspect of a thesis.  Articles can also be original.

Articles are a great platform to publicly share views and or research. They are a way to contribute to the broader conversation and connect to a wide range of practitioners and representatives in the urban shaping sectors. 

How to make this happen:

1.       Identify a topic and prepare an abstract (250 words max).

2.       Submit the abstract to the UFX Board for endorsement to proceed.

3.       Prepare the article (750 to 2500 words). Longer form Articles may also be accepted.

4.       Prepare, proof read, appropriately reference and finalise the article.

5.       Submit the article with a bio (50 words max), profile picture and an image relating to the subject to the UFX Board for publishing on the UFX website and circulation through UFX networks.

Eligibility and Conditions:

1.       You will be a current member of the UFX.

2.       Articles can be written by one author or multiple authors.

3.       All views, opinions and liabilities will be retained by the author.

4.       The UFX retains the right to propose amendments to the article prior to publication.
