Co-Chair | Reb Rowe

Reb is a self-confessed Planning-Nerd; inspired by the life within these adaptable places. She has been working in Urban Planning with the City of Unley since 2008, working in Urban Design and Policy in this time. In her spare time, Reb is a board member for Renew Adelaide, a committee member and volunteer for the Adelaide Bike Kitchen and is studying a Master of Urban Design with the University of Adelaide. In addition to this, Reb is an advocate for cyclist safety through the Australian Cycle Alliance and an illustrator. 

 

Co-Chair | Ned Feary

Ned is a young and passionate urban and regional planner, with experience in development assessment, strategy, policy and market research.

Ned currently works at the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and has previously worked at Holmes Dyer. He has experience in the not-for-profit sector, having been President of United Nations Youth SA in 2019, and served two terms as a Board Director of the UniSA Students' Association.

Ned is passionate about railways, regional development, and global citizenship.

 

Treasurer | Michael Scott

Michael is a Social Scientist at Flinders University.

His current research explores cultural and creative entrepreneurship, and how institutions and governance aid the development of the urban cultural economy.

He also has also published on land use planning, urban sustainability, and the creative industries.

 

Secretary & Public Officer | Joanna Clare

Joanna Clare is currently with the Crown Solicitors Office.

Previously Jowas a Senior Associate at Norman Waterhouse Lawyers, practicing in Environment and Planning Law. Prior to becoming admitted as a lawyer, Joanna completed a degree in civil and environmental engineering and worked as an Associate at the Supreme Court of South Australia.

 

Board Member | Orr Niv Shallev

Joining Arup in early 2022, Orr is a Registered Architect with a proven record of managing large scale projects, a strong collaborative design approach and the ability to lead and support staff and teams. Orr has excellent communication skills in a cross-cultural context, is highly adaptable and eager to find creative solutions to complex problems through consultation and teamwork.

Board Member | John Byleveld

John is a respected expert in Architecture, urban design, and strategic planning, with a diverse career that spans private practice, construction, academia, and Government roles. John is the Founding Director of John Byleveld Architects, a practice passionate about community-oriented design helping to shape a better urban experience. John teaches regularly at Adelaide University and Uni SA and has held key leadership roles with Office for Design & Architecture and Renewal SA. John was the Founder of the award-winning Radio Show The PLAN and is known for his ambitious, community-focused designs and transformative urban projects.
