The Future Living Code Amendment has now been released for consultation- so let’s talk about it!
The State Government describes the Code Amendment as:
“[introducing] a new form of housing that allows more homes to be built in established residential suburbs, without impacting the existing character, heritage and streetscape. It encourages existing houses to be retained, altered and extended to create co-located housing, rather than demolished and the site subdivided for multiple homes.”
But the Code Amendment only applies to selected areas- should it? What sort of policies should be applied when assessing a development like this?
Join us for after-work drinks to discuss this Code Amendment and how to implement the concept of co-living.
