Active Living and Neighbourhood Density Forum

  • 451 Pulteney Street - Mâché Coworking | Adelaide 5000 Australia (map)

This event is for anyone interested in creating more active and liveable neighbourhoods. In particular built environment professionals in public and private sectors and policy makers.

This event will update our contemporary understanding of the role of low, medium and high density neighbourhoods on walking and cycling.

Does density matter?

The density of an area is related to walking and cycling and liveability because higher residential densities bring destinations closer together and support the presence of local shops, services and public transport.

This will be an opportunity to discuss what is working well and the challenges/solutions for walking and cycling in Greater Adelaide; building on past discussions, in particular the 2022 Liveability Index launch by Dr Bille Giles Corti.

Speakers:

Stephanie Johnston, State Planning Commission Member

James Atkinson, Senior Associate, TSA Management

Dr Hulya Gilbert, La Trobe University
